大家好，“第十届环太平洋先进材料与工艺国际会议”（PRICM10）将于2019年8 月18-22 日在陕西省西安市召开。PRICM会议是全世界材料及工艺领域规模最大、影响力最高的综合性学术会议之一。 

本次会议由中国金属学会主办，其中A分会—《先进钢铁材料及工艺》委托上海大学董瀚教授与清华大学杨志刚教授牵头组织，旨在加强世界各国的先进钢铁材料在理论、工艺、技术、装备、应用等方面的交流，展现世界先进钢铁材料领域的最新研究进展。钢铁材料是发展最快的材料，比如汽车钢；同时也是性能最多样化的材料，比如特殊钢；更是量大面广的低成本材料，比如建筑钢。钢铁材料的发展取决于化学冶金学与物理冶金学的进展，也取决于相关的工艺流程与设备技术的进展，市场需求更是先进钢铁材料持续发展的动力。本会场拟在上述方面开展广泛深入的研讨，以适应目前的学科与工程发展需求。 

另一方面，自古以来钢铁材料与人们的生活品质密切相关，当代的钢铁材料更是为人民生活品质提高奠定了材料基础。然而，生活用钢铁材料的研发依然不够深入深入细致，还有很大发展空间。本会场将首次安排钢铁与民生专题论坛，就民生用钢铁材料进行研讨，以解决人民日益增长的美好生活需要和不平衡不充分的发展之间的矛盾，提高人民生活品质。欢迎大家踊跃投稿并参会。

The 10th Pacific Rim International Conferenceon Advanced Materials and Processing (PRICM10) will be held in Xi 'an, Shanxiprovince from August 18 to August 22, 2019. PRICM conference is one of thelargest and most influential comprehensive academic conferences in the field ofmaterials and processing in the world.

The conference is organized by theChinese Society for Metals (CSM) and the session A, Advanced Steel and Processingwill be directed by Professor Dong Han, Shanghai University and Professor YangZhigang, Tsinghua University. This session aims at offering discussions on the latestprogresses of theories, processing, equipment and applications of advancedsteels in the world. Steel is the fastest developing material, such as the automotivesteel; It is also the most versatile material, such as the special steel; It isalso the cost-effective material with large quantity and wide range, such asconstruction steel. The development of ferrous materials depends on the understandingof chemical metallurgy and physical metallurgy as well as the related processesand equipment technology. The session intends to carry out extensive andin-depth discussions on the above aspects to meet the current needs of academyand industry.

On the other hand, iron and steelhave been closely related to the daily life of the people since the ancienttimes. Furthermore, the modern ferrous materials are the solid foundation forimproving the living standards of the people. However,the study of living steel is still far from enough. A special forum on the topic of the relationship between ferrousmaterials and people's living standards will be held for the first time. Theforum will focus on the role of ferrous materials on improving people's dailylife, to resolve the contradiction between the people’s ever-increasing needsfor a better life and the unbalanced and inadequate developments.
