“2009 International Symposium on Automobile Steel” (ISAS’09) jointly organized by The Chinese Society for Metals and Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation was successfully held in in Dalian, China on September 6-8, 2009.
Prof. WENG Yuqing, the president of CSM, Mr. ZHANG Xiaogang, the president of Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation，Prof. ZHANG Shourong, the member of The Chinese Academy of Engineering, Prof. WANG Guodong, the member of The Chinese Academy of Engineering,
Prof. Hong Jibi, the executive vice president and secretary-general of CSM attended the conference.
This eventattracted more than 300 delegates from 11 countries. 70 papers were collected in the conference proceedings. ISAS’09 provides a high-level communication platform for all participants to exchange ideas and discuss the latest progress on automobile steel production and process technology. ISAS’09 also provides valuable opportunity for sharing experiences, knowledge and promoting mutual understanding. After this conference, foreign delegates visited Bayuquan Branch Company of Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation and domestic delegates visited ANSC-TKS Galvanizing Co., Ltd.
