2007  CSM Annual Meeting was held successfully in Chengdu,  China in November 15-17,  2007.  

The main topic of  this annual meeting was “Making Independent  Innovation,  Supporting  and  Guiding 

Future  Development.” Prof. Xu Kuangdi， the  vice  president  of  The  National Committee of the 

Chinese  People’s  Political  Consultative  Conference,  president  of  Chinese Academy  of  Engineering, 

the  honorary president of CSM, Prof. Liu Jie, the vice president of China Association for Science and 

Technology, the member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Prof. Yin Ruiyu,  the honorary president 

of CSM, the member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Prof. Weng Yuqing, the  president  of  CSM, 

Mr. Xiao Guang,  the  vice  president  of  provincial Committee of the Sichuan Province People’s Political 

Consultative Conference attended the meeting. The event attracted more than 1200 delegates from 16 

countries around the world. 1300 papers were published at the meeting. in addition, an exhibition 

was held at the same period.
