“2008 International Symposium on Clean Steel” organized by The Chinese Society for Metals and Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation was successfully held in Anshan, Liaoning province from Sept.16, 2008 to Sept.19, 2008.
Mr. Zhang Xiaogang, general manager of Ansteel Group hosted the conference, Prof. Xu Kuangdi, president of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Prof. Yin Ruiyu, the honorary president of CSM, member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Prof. Gan Yong, member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Prof. Hong Jibi, the executive vice president and secretary-general of CSM and other leaders attended the conference.
About 300 participants attended the symposium, more than 30 papers from 9 countries including Japan, Germany, Korea, USA and China have presented reports in the conference. The participants exchanged information about state-of-the-art on clean steel production and discussed the recent achievements and experiences in the wide spectrum of clean steel production-related technology. All participants gave high appraise to the conference.
